My art is autobiographical, but then most of my life has been autobiographical as well. My paintings are my diary. A diary that reflects a curious fascination with figures and scenes; my personal diorama brought to life. With a cast of characters, including myself, that I intertwine into an intricate scene as if from a play, for the benefit and amusement of my audience. Like all diaries, mine is a collection of personal narratives and figurative entries.
My diary contains a glimpse into the life I have lived and continue living.

At 71, while recently working on my paintings, I became aware I am finally unencumbered by any preconceptions of art.
For me art is a spherical concept and never a linear one.
I take what I can grasp, and I ignore the chatter.
I have learned to paint in the present tense.

My experiences, my paintings, my diary are all my own.
I love what I do...I make pictures.
